Interactive Installation > Memory Stroll

A site-specific interactive string installation by Mindy Hirt and Emily Biondo built in the dim garage of the 2012 (e)merge Art Fair. Visitors were led through a labyrinth of string by following a sequence of lights.

The lights were programmed based upon input from 6 PIR sensors placed outside and inside the string installation. Each LED would glow alluringly to signal the viewer to move forward, whereupon when the viewer reached said LED, the light would be extinguished only for the viewer to find another light glowing slightly further away.
