An interactive installation at the 2011 American University Thesis Exhibition.
This interactive piece uses a blinding white light to provide visual discomfort, allowing the viewer's own decisions to dictate the outcome of the piece. In the corner is a physical installation of crocheted plastics with one light placed in the center. As the viewer walks towards the piece, this central light becomes brighter and flashes at intervals, providing discomfort to those in front of it. At the end, the viewer is faced with a choice--accept the visual discomfort in order to view the full detail of the installation up close, or to maintain a distance and be unable to fully view the installation.
